Our holiday countdown has already started (less than three weeks to go). Soon we will head from our home near Dortmund/Germany to Denmark for another family vacation. Our destination for these two weeks is Ferring and a first glance at the geocaching map has already revealed quite a few interesting caches (first couple of mysteries already solved ).

Part of the geocaching experience is getting together with like-minded people for joint explorations. Therefore we are looking forward to meet local as well as visiting geocachers for this very informal "Meet & Greet @ Ferring Strand Bovbjerg Fyr"! Bring your family and please share your geocaching (and other family activity) experiences in and around the Ferring area with us.

Currently the plan is to just meet on the beach. Please let us know in your "will attend" log how many large and small geocachers will join, where you come from and (for visitors only) from when till when you will stay in the area. If you have any special wishes and/or recommendations for the event, let us know as well. Please log any changes later on in a "write note".

Update on April 29, 2014: It has been recommended to us by a fellow cacher to move the event to Bovbjerg Fyr lighthouse where our meeting would be a bit more protected from the winds and cafe/facilities are available. As the lighthouse/cafe is open 14h-17h we changed the meeting's schedule to 13:30-14:30. The event will take place outside in the yard of the lighthouse.

Die Uhr tickt, weniger als drei Wochen bis zur Abfahrt in den Urlaub. Schon bald werden wir von unserem Zuhause bei Dortmund/Deutschland aufbrechen, um wieder Familienferien in Dänemark zu verbringen. Unser Urlaubsziel für diese zwei Wochen ist Ferring und bei einem erster Blick auf die Geocaching-Karte konnten wir schon eine ganze Reihe interessanter Dosen entdecken (die ersten Mysteries sind bereits gelöst ).

Teil des Geocaching-Erlebnisses sind gemeinsame Events und Touren mit anderen Geocachern. Deshalb freuen wir uns ganz besonders darauf, einheimische und urlaubende Geocacher bei diesem absolut informellen "Meet & Greet @ Ferring Strand Bovbjerg Fyr" zu treffen! Bringt eure Familien mit und bitte teilt mit uns eure Erfahrungen in Sachen Geocaching (und anderen Familienaktivitäten) in und um Ferring.

Bisher ist der Plan, sich einfach am Strand zu treffen. Bitte lasst uns in eurem "will attend" Log wissen, wieviele große und kleine Geocacher dabei sein werden, wo ihr herkommt und (natürlich nur die Urlauber) von wann bis wann ihr in der Gegend seid. Solltet ihr irgendwelche Sonderwünsche und/oder Empfehlungen für das Event haben, lasst es uns einfach wissen. Alle späteren Änderungen bitte immer mit "write note" loggen.

Update vom 29. April 2014: Ein Geocacher hat uns empfohlen, das Event zum Bovbjerg Fyr Leuchtturm zu verlegen. Dort sind wir etwas windgeschützter und es gibt ein Cafe/WCs. Da Leuchtturm und Cafe von 14-17 Uhr geöffent sind, haben wir das Event auf 13:30 bis 14:30 Uhr verlegt. Es findet draußen auf dem Hof des Leuchtturms statt.
