JCHT #29 - April Showers Bring May Flowers Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

poeanne: Thanks for the reminder on this one. I meant to archive it a few days ago when I picked up the container but must not have submitted it. The JCHT is getting a new passport that will include the best 12 caches in the trail. This one, unfortunately, did not make the cut so it is being archived.

Geocache Description:

Jackson County Heritage Trail
Cache #29
April Showers Bring May Flowers

Permission given by Rob Russell, City Administrator

Once a thriving cotton town, Pendergrass boasted several doctor’s offices, a bank, a blacksmith shop, a hotel, and lovely Victorian homes. The cotton market declined and fire destroyed most of the downtown buildings. Today one of the surviving early 1900s homes serves as the city hall/library.
