The cache is located at the trail head for the climb up Poke-O-Moonshine Mountain. Enter through the old campground entrance/gate north of GZ and then south through the campground (now closed) to the trail head. Looking for a small-to-medium container.
This peak has been a longtime favorite growing up with my family - we climbed every fall around Columbus Day when the foliage was at or near peak. Climbers are rewarded with views of Lake Champlain, the ADK High Peaks, Green Mountains and even Montreal (on a clear day). The trail is as steep as they come,but not quite as long as a High Peak - perfect early-season hike to get those muscles in shape for the big ones! There are several other caches on the mountain -make sure you grab 'em all!
