Vicopisano è un borgo situato alle pendici del Monte Pisano, legato fin dal X sec a Pisa fu conquistata da Firenze nel 1407, alla quale si ribello nel 1494 ma a cui dovette cedere nel 1498. Interessanti da vedere sono la torre delle quattro porte, la torre dell’orologio, la torre del Brunelleschi nonché la pieve romanica di Santa Maria.

Vicopisano is a mediaeval hamlet situated on the slopes of Mount Pisano, linked since the tenth century to Pisa, it was conquered by Florence in 1407 to which rebelled in 1494 but to which had to surrender in 1498. Interesting to see are the Torre delle Quattro Porte, the Torre dell’Orologio, the Torre di Brunelleschi and the Romanesque church of Santa Maria.
