I work in a city that is patrolled by the Los Angeles Sheriffs
Department. Shortly after I started Geocaching, Deputy David March
was killed in the line of duty. When that happened, I had a hard
time trying to remember the name of the last Deputy that was killed
on duty - even though it had happened only a year or so prior. So I
decided to place a cache remembering Deputy March in the hills of
Hacienda Heights and decided I would do the same for all the
Deputies that were killed by the hands of others that might follow.
Let's not forget the names or the sacrafices made by those who
protect us. Caches dedicated to Fallen LASD Deputies :
Fallen Deputy David March,
Fallen Deputy David Powell,
Fallen Deputy Stephen Sorensen,
Fallen Deputy Mike Arruda,
Fallen Deputy Jerry Ortiz
