Geocache Description:

St. Peter

Viel Spass beim Suchen!

San Pietro

Buon divertimento!

St. Peter

In the village
carrying the Provisors Anton Pircher is the speech that should have existed already in 1396 by a St. Peter's Church. It should have been executed flooded by a wild branch of the Tanaser brook in "Farewell ditch". In 1500 Pope Alexander VI allowed. the construction of a new church, whose ruins are still visible beneath St. Peter today. The existing today Baroque Peter's Church dates from 1769 and was ordained in 1782. The high altar dates from that period, the side altars are older. The church stands in a prominent position, in its place is once the "Festenburg" have stood.
