Geocache Description:

This cache should be a quick park and grab.  The park is well-used on weekends, so be careful of Muggles.

I grew up living across the street from this park. When I was a kid, this was a lima bean field, and the paved road ended at the end of the block just south of here. I remember watching the workers put in the grass and trees. After they dug out the dirt for the lagoon, we would walk across the uneven surface at the bottom and imagine we were walking on the moon :) The park is named for former Merced County Supervisor Harry P. Schmidt who was born in Gustine.
