This gathering will take place in the left rear corner of Buffalo Wild Wings on Brass Mill at 315 Union Street in Waterbury,from 6pm to 10pm
. Waterbury native and NASA Astronaut Rick Mastracchio (Geocacher: AstroRM) has been living aboard the International Space Station since November 6, 2013. During his stay he made the FTF on the International Space Station cache (GC1BE91) and has been carrying a geocaching travel bug (TB5JJN1) that originated in Waterbury with him.
He has been interacting with geocachers and students while documenting his entire journey through posts and pictures on the travel bug page. On Tuesday May 13 he will be departing from the International Space Station and returning to Earth aboard a Soyuz spacecraft by parachute. The event will be aired live on NASA TV (see the schedule below).
Buffalo Wild Wings will be airing the journey live on their televisions in the left rear corner of the restaurant during this event.

The Central CT Cacher's Nite Out is an evening gathering for caching enthusiasts, generally on the second Tuesday of every month held in varying locations each month. Mark your calendars now! Everyone is welcome to attend...you don't have to reside in CT, and you certainly don't have to be an experienced cacher… new folks are most welcome! Let us know if this is your first event as we'd like to get acquainted. This event features new or rotating hosts every month.
If you have an interest in hosting, please contact Katydid & Miles Stone. As host, you'll select a location; get the coordinates; and copy and paste the event page and resubmit. There are a numbers of places in the area to enjoy good food and drinks. Locations should be kid friendly, have no admission fee and be within the Central Connecticut/Greater Hartford area. Cachers from outside of the area are also encouraged to host, but we do ask that the event itself be held in the Central Connecticut area.
