The legend of Mexican Señora Naga Jolokia has been told for decades in towns throughout the Southwest – umm, make that Southwest West Virginia. Known for her fabulous authentic Mexican cuisine handed down from her family, the Señora was invited to leave her Mexican homeland for the first time to visit some of her distant relatives here in West Virginia. Although her WV relatives had never been to Mexico, they wanted to surprise her with a homemade Mexican dinner. Unfortunately, the family’s prized recipes lost something with every West Virginia generation and without the original ingredients, locally-available meats, vegetables and spices were substituted. Alas, the sight and the aroma of the array of Roadkill Tacos, Pintos and Grits with Hot Dog Chili, and Chitlin’ Chimichangas was more than Señora Jolokia’s heart could take. Her GHOST continues to wander the area in search of real Mexican food from her homeland. A word of warning: You may have heard of Montezuma's Revenge, but it pales in comparison to the Curse of Señora Naga Jolokia. So whatever you do, do not come to the cache site with the smell of faux-Mexican fast food on your breath. You have been warned.
