Geocache Description:

Cache is at the posted coordinates - but you MUST qualify first before signing it!

This cache IS at the posted coordinates. In order to get credit for this cache, you must read this entire cache description and follow its instructions.

We’ve all been there before, even bleed_blue_LA. Your phone wakes you up with an e-mail and there's a new cache, an FTF opportunity, and it’s only 0.3 mile from the tip of your nose. You excitedly read the cache description thinking you’ll bag another easy FTF. But you quickly become dejected. It’s a challenge cache, and only three human beings in the world can actually qualify to log it. And one of those people probably lives in Peru.

This challenge mania all started with the best of intentions. The Ventura County Quad Challenge was great. So were the California ABC Challenge and the SFVG Alphabet Soup Challenge . But things soon got out of hand. There were some really bizarre challenges. Such caches include the:

Total Solar Eclipse Earthcache Challenge: Find three caches at the location of a total solar eclipse DURING the total solar eclipse. Annular solar eclipses don’t count. Post pictures of you, your GPSr and the total solar eclipses.

“A” Medical Condition Challenge: Find 10 caches of any type that have a medical condition, beginning with the letter “A”, in their title. Possible caches would include “Another Aneurysm”, “Icky Acne”, and “An Apple a Day Keeps the Appendicitis Away”. “Sore Arm” doesn’t qualify since it’s a body part that begins with the letter “A”.

Ventura Harbor Challenge: Find every cache whose icon has coordinates between Ventura Harbor and the Channel Islands. If another cache is published with coordinates in that area, your log will be archived until you find the new cache.

Longitude Prize Challenge: Find a cache in every whole degree longitude from 180° west to 180° east.

European Food Challenge: Get fifty caches with European foods in their name, such as “I Eat Escargot”, “Squiggly Spaghetti“, “Marmite in the Morning”, “Only Brats Eat Bratwurst”, and “Lovely Lutefisk”.

Admit it. You’re fed up with these strange challenges. So in order to qualify for this one, you must accomplish the following three steps in order:

1. Find the cache. If you’re in a group and somebody else in the group finds the cache, no problem. We all have more important things to worry about.

2. Sign the log. If you don't have a writing implement, then sign it with blood, Braille, or even beet juice.

3. Log the find online. There’s no way around this requirement. You’re just going to have to do it.

Hopefully you’re up for the challenge. Good luck.

Thanks to rohrerboy for allowing me to "use" his concept I saw on his cache: An Insult to all Challenge Caches. The applicability of this cache came to mind this morning when I saw three challenge caches published in Camarillo. I figured Camarillo needed one of this difficulty

Cache is larger than a micro, but not a small, capable of holding small swag and microtrackables. WheresGeorge Dollar for FTF.
