This cache was placed for the CAM 2014 picnic. The cache is located approximately 130 feet from the Plantation (Brown) and Swamp (Green) trails and Forest Road in Cedarville State Forest. While the cache may be reached from the western edge of Cedarville Pond, this would increase the terrain rating. The cache is a medium-sized lock-and-lock. Please bring your own pen/pencil.
Parking for the cache is available at Cedarville Pond which can be reached via the unpaved Forest Road. While this road travels through the area of the park where hunting is permitted, this cache is located in the non-hunting portion of the park.
Cedarville Pond is a four-acre pond stocked with Bluegill, Catfish, Sunfish, and Bass.
Cedarville State Forest consists of 3,510 acres and includes the headwaters of the Zekiah Swamp. The forest includes five marked trails--Blue, Brown, Green, Orange and White-- comprising over 19 miles of developed trails. These trails were constructed in the 1930s by the Civilian Conservation Corps. There is currently a $3.00 per vehicle fee to enter this park.
