Geocache Description:

One of a little Easdale series. I have spent many holidays here and even lived on Easdale or six months a few years ago, writing. I have special memories of this unusual place. There is a pub/ cafe and a mseum on the island, and lovely walks. Before you get on the ferry to Easdale check out Heritage Museum round the corner that gives a great history of the area.

After the fabulous from the bend in the rod at the hill one's first first experience of Easdale Island is the little open top ferry ride. It runs at different times throughout the year. The ferrymen are friendly, tough and professional men, who worin all weather to serve visitors and the 50 or so residents of Easdale.
