This cache has been placed within the Bramshaw phonebox which has been transformed into a mini book exchange and information booth. PLEASE DO NOT PUBLISH PICTURES OF THE CACHE, IT RUINS THE SURPRISE FOR OTHERS, PHOTOS WILL BE DELETED!
PLEASE REPLACE CACHE EXACTLY WHERE YOU FIND IT. THANKYOU. Over the country, many classic red British phoneboxes have been transformed, not just to mini libraries, but art galleries, tea rooms and florists. Since 2009 over 1500 phoneboxes have been restored and transformed. This is all thanks to local Parish Councils and residents! Many thanks to Bramshaw Parish Council for their kind permission to place this cache. This is the second Red Phone Box in the New Forest that has been restored. It is one of three phone boxes in Bramshaw and is located a short walk from the village shop. The phone box is a K6 Kiosk which was common in Britain from the 1930s onwards. After usage declined, BT began dismantling the phone boxes but many Parish Councils adopted them using the Adopt a Kiosk scheme. Now that the telephone equipment has been removed from Bramshaw's phone box, it now is a small book exchange as well as leaflet holders and notice boards for local and New Forest information. We hope that everyone enjoys using the phone box in it's new use and please feel free to leave a comment in the visitor book. The phone box is situated a short walk from the village store on the B3079. Please ensure the cache is hidden out of sight. There isn't room for swaps or TB's
