Geocache Description:

Small Micro Cache, located off the main footpath across Cannock Chase from Milford to Brocton Coppice - but Which Way Do We Go?

This cache is located at a major junction in the footpaths out on Cannock Chase, a point where you generally have to stop and think 'Which Way Do We Go?'

There is a vast network of paths heading all over Cannock Chase - a map is a very wise investment! This crossroads sits on one of the main ones leading up from Milford Common and heading out towards Brocton Coppice. A pay and display car park is available at Milford Common, which can get busy on sunny days, although there are a number of other small parking areas dotted about the chase.

The route from Milford is fairly straightforward with some gentle hills, although some sections can get a bit muddy at times. Distance is around 2/3rds of a mile and when you reach the junction you can continue your walk in several different directions further out towards Brocton and Brocton Coppice (and area well populated with Deer). Footpaths are dirt/gravel, which unfortunately makes them unsuitable for wheelchairs or pushchairs.

You're looking for a black 35mm Film Cannister - the cache is located off the main path up a slight bank, accessible from the the crossroads. Generally the area is fairly quiet, but it can get busy at weekends and there are plenty of passing walkers so some stealth may be required. It's also a wise idea to keep an eye open for mountain bikes, who sometimes use the smaller trails up and down the hills.

Oh, and you may want some gloves ;-)

This is my first cache hide, so hopefully all is ok - please let me know if anything is amiss though and I'll put things right - happy hunting :-)

And a big thank you to Staffordshire County Council for allowing the placement of the cache in this area :-)
