[SWE] Idag är Soterud inte så sotigt, utan istället en populär badplats. Annat var det i slutet av 1800-talet när Borgviks bolag hade flera kolhus här, där man kunde lassa kol direkt i båtarna som lade till. I en liten enrumsstuga intill kunde arbetarna värma sig en stund på vintern. Här bodde senare den fattige spelmannen Sjöstedt med fru. Det sägs att han var underlig och ibland våldsam, men att han blev botad när han åter i vuxen ålder fick en fiol i sin hand.
[ENG] Today Soterud is not so sooty, but instead a popular swimming spot. It was different in the late 1800s when Borgviks company had several coal houses here, where they could load coal directly on to the boats that landed here. In a small one-bedroom cottage next door the workers could warm themselves for a while during winter. Here later lived the poor fiddler Sjöstedt with his wife. It is said that he was strange and sometimes violent, but he was healed when he once again as an adult got a violin in his hand.
