Geocache Description:

No 30 in a series of caches that take you to places where Doctor Who has been filmed; Folley Brothers Gravel Pit was used to film one story in the 1970s.

Note: Tweezers essential for this cache.

A fairly simple novelty micro multi-cache with two waypoints that will take you first to the former site of Folley Brothers Gravel Pit (now Lafarge Aggregates). Folley Brothers Gravel Pit was used for The Ambassadors of Death (1970). More details can be found via a quick internet search.

  1. Park up at the suggested coordinates (plenty of space).
  2. The first waypoint will take you to a white label to solve clue 1.
  3. The second waypoint is at the information point where you can also view the location across the water.
  4. Then it's on to the final cache.

All stages are listed within the Additional Waypoints section.

Should be easily possible to complete this cache in around 15-30 minutes depending on whether you choose to explore around the lake. As this cache takes you close to water (with poisonous blue algae) take extra care, especially when with geokids.

This is one of a series of caches based on locations used for filming Doctor Who, be it the filming of the latest series or any of the earlier ones. If you're near such a location and want to add to the series, just let Pezzini know so she can keep the numbers without duplicates and please keep to the naming convention of starting the series with "Who Was Here".

Congratulations to geoibsons for the FTF!
