With the development of Mesaieed a number of improvements have followed, one of which is the improved truck road link that joins with The Salwa Road. This cache is placed on the old slip road now no longer in use since the new interchange was built.
The old truck road was a nightmare with regular head on collisions as a result of crazy overtaking, now there is a modern dual carriageway with oncoming traffic safely separated by barriers.
This part of the previous truck road system remains in reasonable condition and can still be accessed if you pick a suitable route and have ground clearance.
