The object you will find here is a relic left over from a former logging enterprise. Many trees have died over the years in this area. Their relatives were waiting for their chance and when this object was abandoned, they pounced! Of course, trees pounce very slowly. Some estimates are that this has been here 60-80 years since abandonment. Your own guesses are welcome.
The posted coordinates are the same as that for GC2QDNP, "Help! I think I'm stuck!". There is information on the relic that can be used to find the final for that cache so, you could get both of these at the same time.
Follow the gravel path from the parking coordinates and watch for the muddy trail leading south. The muddy part peters out before the bridge and then the trail is easy. Enjoy the bench by the nearby pond and savor this beautiful, quiet haven in the woods. Have fun!
