Erected by the Winder and Atlanta chapters of the Georgia Daughters of the American Revolution and Col. William Candler, Andrew Jackson monument marks the trail our Seventh President and his regiment walked in 1818 as they headed to Florida during the Seminole Indian War. The marker is located at the intersection of Route 11 and Jackson Trail Road.
