San Felipe Trail #4-Early Morning Spring Run Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

Nomex: As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Geocache Description:

The San Felipe Trail is a popular walking and biking trail that follows San Felipe Road.  This series of caches along the trail is intended to be done on foot.  There is safe legal parking near the first cache (San Felipe Trail-Silver Oak) but very little near the subsequent caches.

Eucalyptus trees are not native to California.  Almost all species of eucalyptus come from Australia.  From the size of these trees they must have invaded at least 150 years ago.  These non-native species are just one of many "foreign invaders" to California -- Garden snails, wild pigs, and bipalum (or hammerhead worm) are some other examples.  At this spot I've seen all four of these invasive species.

The cache itself can accomodate trading items up to 1.75" in diameter by 6" long.
