Mt. Shosha (Mountaintop)
Although the altitude at the top of Mt. Shosha is only 371m, many people visit here throughout the year because there is a famous temple Engyoji. There are 6 trails to the temple from the mountain foot. In addition, an aerial cableway (ropeway in Japanese) has been operated in the daytime.
According to Japanese mythology, Susanoo no Mikoto stayed overnight on the top of this mountain. Therefore, this place was called "Susa no Soma". The term "Susa" turned in "Shosha". There is a Hakusan-gongen shrine at the top. There are some small boards around GZ because this is the highest place of the Shoshazan! The GPS signals are unstable because of the dense forest.

書写山 (山頂)
書写山は標高371mの山ですが、山上には圓教寺があり、四季を通して訪れる人が多い山です。山上へは六つの参拝道があります。さらにロープウェイもあるので、誰もが気軽に参拝できます。
はるかむかし素盞嗚命が山頂に降り立ち一宿したという故事により、ここは『素盞ノ杣』といわれ祠が祀られていたそうです。『すさ』が『しょしゃ』の語源のようです。この山は霊鷲山に『書き写したように』似ていることから性空上人が書寫と改め、圓教寺を創建しました。創建当時は書寫寺と称していたようです。山頂には白山権現神社があり、その裏手には山頂を示すプレートがいくつかあります。キャッシュはその周辺に設置しました。樹林帯なので信号精度はいまいちです。
