Historia:
Joan de Sessé, canonge de la Seu tarragonina, va recollir l’any 1529 tot un seguit de tradicions sobre Sant Magí , donant forma, en un escrit (redactat en llatí i català) a la formosa llegenda del Sant màrtir de la Brufaganya.
Nota: Sant Magí fou un eremita de Tarragona del segle III, martiritzat pels romans a començament del segle IV. Canonitzat, és el sant patró de la ciutat de Tarragona. Sant Magí és el 19 d’agost, la festa petita de la ciutat.

Joan de Sessé, canonge de la Seu tarragonina, recogió en 1529 una serie de tradiciones sobre Sant Magí, dando forma, en un escrito (redactado en latín y catalán) a la hermosa leyenda del Santo mártir de la Brufagaña.
Nota: Sant Magí fue un eremita de Tarragona del siglo III, martirizado por los romanos a comienzos del siglo IV. Canonizado, es el santo patrón de la ciudad de Tarragona. Sant Magí es el 19 de agosto, la fiesta pequeña de la ciudad
History:
Joan de Sessé, Canon of the Cathedral of Tarragona, received in 1529 a series of traditions about Sant Magi, shaping, in a letter (written in Latin and Catalan) in the beautiful legend of the saint martyr’s Brufaganya.
Note: Sant Magi Tarragona was a hermit of the third century, martyred by the Romans in the early fourth century. Canonized, is the patron saint of the city of Tarragona. Sant Magi is on 19 August, the small town festival.
