We will meet at 10:00 a.m. and try to hit the water by 10:30 a.m. The Event will end when the last boat leaves the launch site at 10:30. Please post a note or contact us to let us know if you are running late as nobody will be at the launch site after 10:30 unless contacted and asked to wait.
After the great turnout last year we decided to have another event on the water. There have been a lot of people who have aquired kayaks lately so we hope to have another great turnout. We will launch from Kennedy Park and paddle upstream to Blue River Memorial Park and then turn around and paddle towards Sunset Park. This is high terrain due to the use of watercraft. Personal flotation devices are required for everyones safety. You will need to bring your own kayak or canoe as there are no rentals in our area. If you are a first timer to an Event like this, then this one will be perfect for you as the river is very managable with the group. You never know what you might find along the way!
There is a chance that the paddle could be extended so log at least a note to get updates just in case things change.
