Geocache Description:

This is my first hide, and I went all out on it! Lots of goodies to trade with. Hidden in the beautiful Eagle Mountain Park on a trail found near the bigger ball diamond where I like to walk my dog on a regular basis. GPS coordinates will take you to within 15 ft of the cache. It is about 25 feet off the trail. If you're taking kids with you then its best not to do this one at night as there is lots of dangerous wildlife in the area.

Please be sure to carefully place it back where you found it, and let me know in your logs if it needs maintenance, or adjusting to the cache description. This cache has already been replaced after only 3 finds so this will be my last attempt at trying to hide one at this location. Eagle Mountain Park is a peaceful spot for a picnic, and games in the ball diamonds with quite a view. You can see clear across to the coastline. The cache itself is a medium lock and lock container that closes airtight, and waterproof. You can access the trail from the road at 49°18'46.2"N 122°48'17.0"W or if you're in for a bit of a hike you can access it from the picnic tables at 49°18'53.4"N 122°48'13.3"W. There is parking right beside the trail next to the picnic tables, and the park gates are open 8AM to 10PM April through October. Otherwise you can park at the end of Turnberry Lane next to the Tot Lot play park, and follow the trail up into the bush to the power lines, and turn left down the road to head towards the park. I chose this spot, because its one of my escape locations to go with my dog where I can let him run free in the ball diamonds, and burn some energy, or head off on the trails into the bush for a bit of a hike. There's lots of wildlife in the area so keep an eye out. The kind of wildlife that I have personally spotted in the area in the last four years are mostly coyotes, deer, the odd bear, eagles, a few snakes, and I've heard of there also being cougars, but never actually seen one. The GPS coordinates will take you within 15 ft of the cache depending on how your GPS reacts to the nearby powerlines. Its a very muddy trail most of the year so be sure to leave your good shoes at home! Happy Caching!
