Shivering Ginnel was originally a multi-cache but due to its location was not found very often. The first phase went missing so it was archived and this one created
Shivering Ginnel is a path leading through and out of the forest to the triangulation point on Beacon Hill that sports a fabulous 360° view, so choose a clear day and you will be amply rewarded, but be warned - it can be boggy in places. There is limited parking at the side of a track at the end of the metalled road (co-ordinates below). Why not combine this cache, whilst in this interesting and rather atmospheric area, with the caches of Easington Fell and Wilf’s Wander. This would make for a superb walk with great views. Please re-hide the cache very carefully because if it is not well covered, it can easily be seen when approached from below.
