A Canadian Actuary's Nightmare Mystery Cache

Having had fun finding caches around Maple Ridge when visiting our son and his family and being in poetic mood, I thought I'd give something back and set a little puzzle. I hope it doesn't take too many years to solve.

The co-ords take you to a place from which, being aware of my carbon footprint, you can reach the actual cache site by public transport.

Once upon a time there were two men, Alf and Bert, who went out drinking. When we meet them Alf had had his fill of gin and was becoming rum-soaked and Bert was pickled. They decided they would like to become farmers.

Alf fancied being a dairy farmer so he bought 10 cows, 15 goats, a mule to carry the cans of milk and a cat to act as taster.

Bert thought he'd like to be a sheep farmer so he bought 28 sheep and two dogs and a horse to round them up.

Both bought four hens as they liked an egg for breakfast.

The cache is in plain view and wheelchair accessible and is at N 49 13.(Alf + his purchases + 4) W 122 34.(Bert + his purchases + 8).
