Geocache Description:

The second cache in a series about St Birinus in the Thames Valley.

Berin in the Saxon tongue, known as Birinus in Latin, preached Christianity to the pagan Saxons at Churn Hill. There, in the 7th Century, the Saxon King of Wessex, Cynegils, was converted. St Birinus went on to found a Christian Cathedral in Dorchester. This is the second cache in a series marking his ‘footsteps’ although his exact route is unknown.

This cache was hidden by ‘No Educashun’ and has been adopted by Tom Tom’s Army.
