Geocache Description:

With any luck, you may see a Firecrest, the smallest bird of the Madeira forest, and even the Chaffinches, the Blackbird, the Buzzards and the very rare Madeira Long-Foed Pigeon.

The path to the Balcões predominated the most varied endemic species abound, such as laurel trees, Madeira mahogany, Madeira blueberry and Madeira orchids. You can also find exotic deciduous trees like English oaks and London plane trees, which are found at regular intervals at the edge of the path.

Our cache is under a small bridge on the existing path, which passes a small watercourse. To find the cache you should leave the trail and go down near the water. Note the floor, it may be a bit slippery due to fallen leaves and the humidity.
