Geocache Description:

This cache is next to the Middlebury Land Trust’s blue-blazed hiking trail, the “Foote Path,” in a 140-acre park surrounding Sperry Pond. Fishing, camping and ATVs are not permitted in the park, but geocaching is.

The entrance to the park is between a pair of stone pillars, on the west side of Rt. 63 (at N 41° 33.595 W 73° 5.687). There is usually a chain between the two pillars, preventing cars from using a narrow driveway that runs between two bodies of water. However, there is room for a couple of cars to park in front of the gate. Drivers are urged to use caution because of fast-moving traffic on the highway.
