Geocache Description:

A series of 12 caches forming a circular walk of approximately 5km along footpaths, lanes and woodland trails around the Wall Hall Estate. Most of the caches are good sized containers with room for swaps/trackables and one or two of the hides are a little different. All caches have been placed with the kind permission of Hertfordshire County Council.

There is parking in the village of Aldenham next to the green or beside the church at N51 40.389 W000 21.212. From here head north along church lane and turn left into red lion close where you will find the footpath that will take you to the first cache. You are looking for a micro sized plastic pot and a little wriggly guardian that sits on top of it.

The Wall Hall Estate is comprised of picturesque villages, farms, woods and rivers nestled amongst the gently rolling landscape of South West Hertfordshire. The estate which measures around 1,000 acres is criss-crossed with miles of country lanes, hidden byways, bridleways and footpaths and is beautifully framed by the River Colne. The land which previously formed part of the Parks and pleasure gardens belonging to the impressive Gothic style Wall Hall Mansion was acquired by Hertfordshire County Council in the 1940s with a view to protecting it from the ever expanding development of London. If you would like to learn more about the paths and walks that cover the estate you can download the Wall Hall walks Leaflet in PDF format.

... to get to the next cache in the series continue on along the edge of the field, and why not whistle "Zipper Dee Doo Dah" as you go.
