Cinecittà is a complex of soundstages of excellence and international significance located in Rome, along the Via Tuscolana at No. 1055, on the corner of Via di Torre Spaccata, active since 28 April 1937. Owned by the State, under the protection of MIBACT and management company from 1997 to Cinecittà Studios SpA for 80% and 20% Cinecittà Luce Cinecittà is the top Italian film industry but also used in the 1990s for television productions. In Cinecittà were shot more than 3000 films, 90 of which received an Academy Award nomination, of which 47 have won the prestigious statuette. Famous directors, national and international, have worked there: Federico Fellini, Francis Ford Coppola, Martin Scorsese , Luchino Visconti.

Di proprietà Statale,sotto tutela del MIBACT e in gestione dal 1997 alla società Cinecittà Studios S.p.A. per 80 % e a Cinecittà Luce per il 20 % Cinecittà costituisce il vertice dell'industria cinematografica italiana ma utilizzata dagli anni 1990 anche per produzioni televisive. A Cinecittà sono stati girati più di 3000 film, 90 dei quali hanno ricevuto una candidatura all'Oscar, di cui ben 47 hanno vinto la prestigiosa statuetta. Celebri registi, nazionali e internazionali, vi hanno lavorato: da Federico Fellini a Francis Ford Coppola, da Luchino Visconti a Martin Scorsese.
