Runway View
This cache is placed as a celebration of my first geocaching achievement: completing 31 days of caching! Ok so there are better achievements out there, but as I am fairly new to this, it's a big achievement for me! It is also my first hide to try to give something back to the geocaching community in the area who have provided me with much fun since I started.
The runway of RAF Coningsby is just over the fields from this cache. It's a view that never fails to provide me with entertainment. Except when the famous Lincolnshire fog rolls in of course! You will probably see lots of aircraft in the skies above you during the week (and often at weekends during the summer months). You may be lucky enough to see the Eurofighter Typhoon display pilot practising. Or maybe the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight's Lancaster, Dakota, Spitfires and Hurricanes in the air. Take the time to watch if you can, maybe while doing the other caches in the area.
As the road here is a public right of way the cache is in a high farmer/runner/muggle and doggle area so you will need to be stealthy. A doggle would actually make great cover! You are also overlooked by houses but you do not need to enter any gardens. Please do not search late at night.
