Geocache Description:

Jesus the Homeless is a NEW sculpture that was just placed on Monday April 28 2014. In order to bring many cachers to see some of the wonderful art we have in Chicago I placed a cache here. Please be respectful.  And make sure to post your picture with him if you like. Peace!

Because of the HIGH muggle traffic I am making the cache easy to find. While I was out there I was approached and asked questions about the sculpture. Jesus the Homeless sculpture is by Artist Timothy P. Schmalz and it depicts A homeless man on a bench asleep. It is not until you see the large wounds in his feet under the blanket that you realize this was Jesus. It could have been any of the many homeless that call our city home. It is a thought prevoking piece and think it would do one well to visit the site. The statue will be dedicated later this spring in honor of Cardinal Francis George's 50 years as a priest. Very Limited parking, if at all. I placed this as a difficulty of 3 because of all the muggle traffic.

READ CAREFULLY FOR LOCATION OF MAGNETIC STYLE container. STANDING ON THE SIDEWALK JUST IN FRONT OF "JESUS", ON YOUR LEFT LOOK FOR THE LARGER END FENCE POST IN AND UNDER THE BOTTOM LIP OF THE BLACK FENCE. BE VERY STEALTHY.
