Geocache Description:

Many years ago people used an elaborate system of trail marking. The trunks of trees were purposely bent to point in a given direction like an ancient global positioning system. Now they make a perfect place for a geocache. The cache container is a small camo waterproof tube with log only. Bring your own pen.

Lincoln Parish Park has picnic areas, group areas and a large playground that is handicap accessible. There is a lake for fishing and in the summer the beach is open for swimming. There is an approximately 1.25 mile paved walking path around the lake. The park has a full hook-up campground for RV’s and primitive campsites for tent campers. The park is also home to nationally known mountain bike trails.

The park opens at 8:00 am each morning and closes at 6:00 pm in the winter, 7:00 pm in the spring and fall and at 8:00 pm in the summer. Admission to the park is $2.00 per person but yearly passes are available.

Thanks to the park manager for permission to place this cache.
