My dad spent a lot of his life playing football on the pitch that you can see from the location.
Whilst he played his games I would climb the trees (especially the big ones) I all ways looked forward to half time
for a cup of tea and some sweets, especially on those cold saturdays when I was a child.
Now a days you can do about anything at these grounds, play football, basketball, tennis etc & badminton in the
village hall! It all so has a childrens play area/park.
From the location you can all so watch trains! one every half an hour, one going to exeter and the other to waterloo.
