Church Micro 5734...Fordham - St Mary
Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions
in our disclaimer.
The church is a Grade II* listed building.
The church dates from the 13th century, with alterations made in the middle of the 14th century, and in 1730, or about that time, the tower was demolished, as was the south aisle.
The old A10 (the main road to London!) went through Fordham until around 1980 when the A10 was rerouted to bypass the village and the villagers must have breathed a sigh of relief.
The cache is a magnetic camouflaged film canister containing just the log. GZ is not within the church boundaries but very nearby.
“If anybody would like to expand to this series please do, I would just ask that you could let Sadexploration know first at churchmicro@gmail.com so he can keep track of the Church numbers and names to avoid duplication.
There is also a Church Micro Stats & Information page found via the Bookmark list”
