Geocache Description:

This cache is located near where we have seen a mature desert tortoise, one of two Silverbells55 and 27slider have seen while out walking/hiking in the desert. If you see one, never touch it or move it.  

The desert all looks the same when you are driving by, but when you are in it, the desert is endlessly fascinating so long as you bring water and watch your step.

There is an interesting looking mountain bike trail beginning near this cache. Don't get run over!

This is a small traditional metal container.  There is only room for the log and a pencil. FTF did find a treat in the regional container which was a metal reading glass case.

Congratulations to NRL for the 100th find and to this2shalpas and Absolute Mellow.. May 1, 2016. The non-traditional container was found as recently as January 2016, but after the DNF by one cacher, this cache owner went to check it out and since I couldn't find it either, I replaced the container and log. If anyone finds the metal container, please make a note, as the new container is plastic for the moment until I can find something more durable for our desert. Update January 28/2019... back to being a small metal container. P,ease be careful placing back in original position.
