When the previous cache in this pretty area was archived, we decided to put our own here. This park has seen it's own share of mayhem from Hurricane Sandy (a section of the road you travel along to get here was completely washed out) but I always thought the trail's end was a cool spot being in the ravine next to this neat little brook. Bring a sandwich and enjoy the surroundings. Cache is safely out of reach of flooding.
As you make your approach from Glen Road, take note of the bat boxes placed in the trees - I am guessing that they are here to help promote populations that have been severely depleted over the past few years due to the White nose syndrome that has been devastating them.
Please be careful in retrieving and replacing the cache - hold the rubber grommet while turning the red wingnut in order to snug the stopper back in place and take care to secure the container back in it's hidey hole exactly as you found it. Enjoy.
