Why did I bring you here?
To make you aware of the new addition to the Cornwall Recreational Trail...bring you bike you will love it!

The bridge is a recent addition to the Recreational Trail that was revised to accommodate the new low level bridge leading to the USA. The bridge crosses the outlet of water from the old Cornwall canal.
As you stand on the bridge you may wonder why was this channel from the main canal was built. Stand on the bridgeand look north to the old canal.
Now look south and you see a cement structure that allows water to pass through on its way to the St. Lawrence River. This structure is all that remains of one of the first power houses that generated electricity for the Stormont Cotton Mills that was located just east of the power house.
The cache is located close by and it should be noted that human trolls have been known to frequent the area under the bridge!
