Tävlingen hölls för femte gången i Sverige och för andra gången stod Malmö som värd för tävlingen. Detta tack vare Loreens vinst med "Euphoria" året innan i Baku.
Hockeylaget Malmö Redhawks spelar idag i denna arena men har än så länge inte kunnat bärga något SM-guld då man för tillfället spelar i Hockeyallsvenskan, den näst högsta serien inom svensk ishockey.

On this site the Eurovision Song Contest was held on May 18th 2013. The final location is in the area.
The contest was held for the fifth time in Sweden and for the second time Malmö was the host of the competition. This thanks to Loreen's victory with "Euphoria" the previous year in Baku.
The hockeyteam Malmö Redhawks has this arena as homeground but hasn't been able to win the Swedish Championship yet as they currently are playing in Hockeyallsvenskan, the second highest level of Swedish ice hockey league.
