On the trip from Hawkes Bay to Waimarama beach you go over a winding hill road with great views both toward Mt Erin and back toward Te Mata peak showing quite a different view to that seen from the west. A roadside layby, with good access either direction, but do watch for traffic as is a busy road. The cache is a camo'ed tube, with log book and pencil, no room for swaps.
