Heath Pool Traditional Cache

ikran3: I’m sadly archiving this cache which was one of my first ever cache finds and where I also found my first tb.
When I adopted it I had to replace it as it had gone missing. It has again gone missing. There is a LOT more activity in that area than there was when this cache was first placed, and since I first found it, so I judge this no longer to be a good location for a cache and am archiving rather than replacing it again.

Geocache Description:

A little still off the path in the beautiful Simons Wood near Finchampstead will take you to a nicely hidden cache.

Simons Wood is just off Wellingtonia Avenue. The woods and the adjoining Heath Pond were partly given by Mr C G H Simon, and partly acquired in the will of Mr Roy Brooks. Both the woods and Heath Pool pond are worth a visit, presenting you with the perfect setting for exceptional nature photographs.

Simons Woods is an area of outstanding natural beauty, so take time to come see for yourself – you’ll be glad you did!

Car Parking is at National Trust Simons Wood car park just off Wellingtonia Avenue. From the roundabout near Crowthorne station go west along the B3348 (Wellingtonia Avenue) and the car park is on the right about two thirds the way along the long Avenue.

The cache is a small box.
