Merry: I don't think he knows about second breakfast, Pip.
Pippin: What about elevenses? Luncheon? Afternoon tea? Dinner? Supper? He knows about them, doesn't he?
Merry: I wouldn't count on it.
It was one of the funniest scenes in the first Lord of the Rings movie - and it was one of the first things we thought about when we started pondering a theme for this, the eleventh World Wide Flash Mob.
So the theme for this WWFM event will be "elevenses." Wikipedia describes "elevenses" in this way: "a snack that is similar to afternoon tea, but eaten in the morning. It is generally less savoury than brunch, and might consist of some cake or biscuits with a cup of coffee or tea. The name refers to the time of day that it is taken: around 11 am."
Since your hosts are not available at the traditional time for "elevenses" due to other commitments, we will be observing "elevenses" at 5pm. Here's the plan for the flash mob:
- Plan to arrive at a parking area in advance of 5pm. You can park in the church lot next door to the east, the park lot to the north, or the swimming pool lot to the west.
- On the way to the event, pick up your favorite "elevenses" snack, coffee, tea, whatever - BUT DON'T consume it right away - some some for the photo!
- 5:00pm SHARP - Depart your geovehicle - watch your cell phone for the time - and converge on the posted coordinates where a camera tripod will be set up for the photo.
- 5:02pm - sign the log, receive raffle ticket, enjoy "elevenses" treats and conversation, make plans for after the event
- 5:10pm - group photo - displaying your "elevenses" treat

- 5:15pm - depart in a disorderly manner
Following the event, you may wish to join forces with other flash mobbers to go caching in the area or perhaps find one of the many local establishments in which to partake of Dinner.
