Old pier at Burwick
This cache is a 120 ml screw top container with logbook and pen with room for small trackables.
Parking is close to this cache. It is an ideal spot to sit and watch the dramatic tidal flow round the Lother rock which lies to the West of Brough Ness. The tower and light beacon were installed in 1910. It makes an ideal starting point for a short walk to the old Coastguard Lookout station. Longer walks to Skerries Bistro and recently discovered Chambered Tomb at Banks Head, Ham Geo and on to ‘The Tomb of the Eagles’ as recommended by Belelgeuse a super walk which takes in the most stunning coastal views.
