Please restrict trade items to interesting pebbles, shells, wooden items or even glass. No plastic or paper items. If such items show up in the cache feel free to take them. Travel bugs are more than welcome.
The trail the cache is located on is not an officially sanctioned trail by the Niagara Parks Commission but was site approved. Information about caching on Niagara Parks Property can be found here: http://www.niagaraparks.com/niagara-falls-attractions/nature-activities.html
There are few views in the Niagara Glen like this one. One can only imagine the cataclysm that happened at this very spot when the Niagara Falls reached the old riverbed and buried gorge. The power you see in the rapids across the river are a drop in the bucket compared to the days when this giant whirlpool was created.
This is the perfect opportunity to take a break from your hike to enjoy a rest and perhaps snap some memories onto your camera. PLEASE BRING YOUR EMPTY CONTAINERS BACK HOME WITH YOU and feel free to take a garbage bag from the cache for others who may not have been so considerate. Please post a note if you filled a bag or if all the garbage bags have been used up. CONGRATZ TO SWEC FOR FTF!
