Geocache Description:

This cache comes with a view. It also contains the real story concerning the “Legend of Petit Jean”. Rattlesnakes like to call Petit Jean home, so be careful.

You're looking for a plastic ammo can.

The cache is along the Boy Scout Trail. Just down from the cache is a wonderful view. It's close to an area called "The Buzzard's Roost". There's a good chance you will see buzzards circling overhead. FYI - A group of buzzards walking up to their dinner is called a "wake" of buzzards.

Across the canyon, you will see Mather Lodge and the newly renovated restaurant. Mather Lodge was built by the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) in the 1930s. The Lodge is an Adirondack architectural style called, “Parkitecture”. Mather Lodge is the only CCC lodge built in an Arkansas state park. (A foundation was laid for a CCC lodge at Mount Nebo, but never finished.)

Arkansas State Park Geocache Permit PT-41-51.
