Geocache Description:

This is a series of 20+ caches that have been strategically placed along a route described as the Ryde Barn Quilt Trail. Near each cache location, you should be able to view a historic barn or building with a special quilt design displayed on it. We hope you take time to learn some history and enjoy the scenery.

The road is named after a pioneer family in Ryde. This is the beginning of the Road to Ryde. The celebration of 135 years in Ryde Township, Muskoka is set for August 16, 2014.This quilt piece is now a bit east on Doe lake Road. In about 500 meters please observe this beautiful design Also be aware there are hawthorn trees at cache site.
