Geocache Description:

Something is wrong! Something is happening! I just came here from Deep River Ontario and now I’m in this dream place. Some cowboy tells me it’s time to wake up pretty girl and the scary man at the theater says we hear a band and also that it is all an illusion. I’m starting to feel like I am not in control, like there are strings attached to me and someone else is guiding me.

So it’s about time I turn my gaze from the castles in the distance with my eyes cast down on the path of least resistance. But then I grow sleepy again and it gets dark. I feel like I am in deep space.

A booming scary voice shouts out:

“In the constellation of Cygnus

There lurks a mysterious, invisible force

The Black Hole Of Cygnus X-1

Six Stars of the Northern Cross

In mourning for their sister's loss

In a final flash of glory

Nevermore to grace the night...”

I think another nightmare has begun.

The dream leaves deep space.

Next I hear these words whispered:

"To seek the sacred river Alph

To walk the caves of ice

To break my fast on honey dew

And drink the milk of Paradise..."

In my latest dream I heard these whispered tales of immortality, only available if I could solve the deepest mystery. So from an ancient book I took a clue.

I scaled the frozen mountain tops of eastern lands unknown searching for the lost Xanadu. In the dream I arrive at this amazing place.

You can’t imagine what it is like to stand within The Pleasure Dome, that was decreed by Kubla Khan, and to taste anew the fruits of life as the last immortal man.

Or what it was like to find the sacred river Alph and walk the caves of ice. Oh yes I did dine on honey dew and drink the milk of Paradise.

But the then the dream turned to a nightmare. It felt like a thousand years had come and gone but time had passed me by. Even the stars stopped in the sky, frozen in an everlasting view. It felt like I was waiting for the world to end and had grown weary of the night. I began praying for the light and had become a prisoner of the lost Xanadu.

Now I’m stuck within the Pleasure Dome, decreed by Kubla Khan, doomed to taste my bitter triumph as a mad immortal man. Nevermore shall I return or escape these caves of ice, for I have dined on honey dew and drunk the milk of paradise.

My only hope is that maybe you can solve this mystery and figure out who is behind the curtains pulling my strings.

If I can cut the cord this summer it will be a farewell to strings.

To find this cache you will also need to find the lost Xanadu.

If you wish you can be the Captain as I have drawn the chart. Let’s begin sailing into destiny a little closer to the heart.
