This is a Challenge "tribute" cache to geob.o.b.!
geob.o.b. has reached her 10,000th cache on May 4, 2014 - congratulations!
To honour this awesome achievement this Challenge cache is a tribute to her, and to ALL cachers who have hit this same milestone - the 10,000 club if you will.
We remember the first time we met geob.o.b. We were caching in the Brampton area and were about to find a cache in a small cemetery. As we drove up to the cemetery gate, there was a car parked there and a lady looking at a GPS with two small, cute, pups pressing their noses against the car windows. All three seemed keen to greet us.
A conversation was immediately struck and introductions were made. Apparently this was the first time geob.o.b. had run in to other cachers and she was so nice and friendly with us. We went and found the cemetery cache together. Then we were going to a few others in the area, and we joined forces.
There was no pretence, no weirdness, just an immediate friendship. It's so nice to know you geob.o.b. - to share in your excitement for caching and sharing that with friends. We've seen you up a ladder, sloshing through streams and water hazards with your wellies, soaked to the bone trying to light a damp cigarette, clambering up AND down muddy slopes, and enjoying a beautiful day on the trails with the sun on your face.
You are an inspiration and we share in your joy. This one's for you geob.o.b.!
The Challenge
The cache IS at the posted coords.
However, you will need to read and meet the logging requirements, as set out below, to claim a find.
In order to log this cache as a find, you must have logged 10,000 or more finds.
The difficulty rating of this cache is reflective of the fact that you need 10,000 finds - not an easy task - at the time of this cache's listing, there were only 31 cachers in Ontario that qualify.
The terrain rating is reflective of the tree climb/tool you will need to sign in to the final cache. Have fun, but be safe!
The Rules
* You must sign the logbook of the cache container hidden at the posted coordinates AND meet the requirements of the challenge in order to log this as a find
* You are welcome to find the cache before completing all of the requirements. If you do, please just sign the log and post a note on the cache page. Then, after you have completed the challenge, you can come back and log it as a find.
* You can only claim a find after you have found and signed the log
* Logged finds that do not qualify will be deleted.
* ALL cache types can be included in your 10,000 find count - traditionals, events, unknowns, etc.
The Cache
Cache is an ammo can.
