Saturday June 7th is going to be a busy caching and event day - let's end it all with another campfire Meet and Greet! Join us around the campfire and let's share stories of the day's adventures. There will be a number of folks camping for the entire weekend and the park would love to have you, so please consider that as well!
The campfire and M&G will be held in NorthWest River Park campground, at the back side of camp sites 50 / 51. This area is the furthest out and generally the most private / quiet area. There is a picnic shelter nearby that we can use as well. It’s a great area for a campfire! See the campground map at (visit link) for details.
If you are not camping you will not be able to drive to the actual camp site (due to regulations on the number of cars allowed at each site). You may park in LOT 2 (see parking coordinates) and walk back to the campground.
If you plan to camp, you are responsible for making your own reservations. Note that NWRP does NOT take credit cards – cash and check only - so you must mail your reservation (see the form on their web site) or stop by the park to make it. When you make your reservation, let them know you are with the GCHR group. Also, when you make your reservation, please drop me a line to let me know what site you have reserved so I can keep track of who will be where.
- This event will be BYOC (bring your own chair). The event will be near one of the pavilions so you may use the picnic tables in there as well.
- We (JDGood1 and N2Kats) will provide all of the fixins’ to make S’mores. However, we only have a few long marshmallow sticks so some of you may have to do things the old fashioned way!
